Thanks for the input. That is true about the awards, CNI lol. By the way, I sent you a PM.

Do you guys think three pages is too long for a "brag sheet" (as outlined in Katherine Cohen's books)?

YES.There is limited room on the online application for your EC's anyway,so narrow it down to the 10 EC's /accomplishments you want them to know about the most. Do not send them a brag sheet that is 3 pages long. That would be a HUGE turn off. "Short and sweet" should be your guidelines.

Resumes are usually a page long, whether you're a janitor or a CEO. Try to cut out stuff that is repetitive, unimportant, or unnecessary so you can focus on your biggest achievements.

Well I have some editing to do. Thanks for the help!

Update: I got my SAT scores today.

660 Critical Reading
600 Math
610 Writing (7 Essay; 63 Multiple Choice)

Does this change anything?

take it one more time. most schools will take your highest scores, so if you can score around 40 points higher on the math section, you'll have a 1300. Then, you should be in good shape.

I called to get my AP scores:

AP European History - 3
AP Art History - 3
AP United States History - 5
AP English Language and Composition - 5

I used to think I had a pretty good shot at the University of Chicago if I could write good essays and since I think my extracurriular activities are somewhat unique but now that I look at the SAT range on College Board I'm wondering if I should apply at all since I don't break the 50 percentile at all. What do you think?

what?! If you mean you don't break the midrange, it means that one out of four kids has lower scores than reported. You should definitely apply if you're still interested.

Its easy to fixate on SAT scores ... and yours aren't the best part of your application. However, if we look at your transcript and rank-in-class, they are very good, and more important for admissions than the SAT.

I think you might want to take the SAT again, and prep for the math and the essay (Chicago doesn't care about the writing but your other schools may). If you obtained a 5 on your AP comp, you really should have a better essay score. You need to be able to write to the SAT spec ... and that means you need to have a pretty good idea as to what it is they are looking for.
