Chances and Areas in Need of Improvement

Having a predominately white schools makes for a great environment for racism to thrive in. One girl from my school is going and she openly mocks black people.

-The Predominant Coot66

Wow that's really starting to change my viewpoint. Maybe I should visit? I have heard a lot about Wake Forest's somewhat "hostile" environment and need for racial diversity...I really want to visit now lol.

Do you guys think three pages is too long for a "brag sheet" (as outlined in Katherine Cohen's books)?

As far as visiting schools. Please visit ALL of the schools you're applying to. You can never get a clear view of a school from paper materials and the internet.

Update: I got my SAT scores today.

660 Critical Reading
600 Math
610 Writing (7 Essay; 63 Multiple Choice)

Does this change anything?

Those are pretty good scores in themselves but for BU I don't know. I would take the ACT. But put those scores in relation to your entire profile, you're still a shoe in I think.

Being AA+having good #s, Blazer will get into BU. I really dont know how much (he I assume?) will get, if any. I really dont know much about the scholarship situation since I was lucky enough to get in to begin with.

I know it's like beating a dead horse lol but...

Update in AP Scores:
European History - 3
English Language and Composition - 5
United States History - 5
Art History - 3

Does this change anything? Also, would just like to add stuff I forgot: Honors Scholar Honor; Palmetto Fellows Scholarship Nominee; Advanced Placement Scholar with Honor Award; Quill and Scroll Honor Society (Editory of Literary Magazine); for Youth Action Council: surveyed over 500 district students to learn about their interest and participation in a variety of community issues. Thanks for the continued help!

AP scores don't effect your admissions decision. They only can start you off with more credit. BU usually accepts 4's and 5's for AP credit.

Thanks for the replies! I've been talking to a friend of mine that goes to COM at BU and I really think I want to apply there now and major in Print Journalism and Political Science. Is COM harder to get into than CAS (not that that will effect which school I apply to :) ).

No school is harder to get into than the others. (With the exception of CGS, UNI, Excel Med Program, and SEP because they are all special programs).

I thought some schools were harder than others. Isn't that why the GPA/SAT scores vary at each college?

-The Harder Coot66

There isnt a difference between CAS/ENG/SMG/Etc because you just need to get into the school (BU), not where you major is. The SAT scores vary because they do. Doesnt mean it's more difficult to get into that particular school.

Exactly. ::high five::

very niiice.
