Chances and Financial Aid

I'm really interested in attending mcgill and was wondering what my chances are. I have a 97 % average if you consider my top 5 courses. I'm from BC, so I don't have to take the SAT. My ex circs include:
President and founder of the school art club.
President and founder of the Kids Help Phone club.
Member of the Lifeline club (blood donations)
Member of the environmental club.
Started a tutoring program at a local elementary school
Voluteers at a senior care centre.
Captain of the schools Destinaton Imagnation team. We won the provincial competitiona and went to the world competition in tennesee. (this was in my grade 8 year however)
Plays intramural handball.
honor roll ...etc.

As money is an issue, what are my chances at getting a scholarship and what kind of scholarship should i apply for ? And also, i've heard that people appying outside of quebec but are from canada pay alot more than quebec residents. Is this true?

I'm not sure about everything else, but I can tell you about the price differences.

Québec heavily subsidises the tution rates for its residents, so they only pay ~$55 a credit, or ~$1,700 a year. Canadian students from outside the province have to pay ~$164 a credit, or ~$4,915 a year.

It's not really that expensive compared to other Canadian schools. For example, UBC charges Canadians ~$4,200 a year.

Furthermore, if your major has anything to do with the French language (language, litterature, teaching FSL, etc.), you also pay the Québec tuition rate (this might only apply to International Students, though)

I am also from BC and I had a 98% average throughout grade 11 and 12 with similar extra-curriculars. I applied for a major entrance scholarship and received $30 000! I would therefore strongly recommend applying, because chances are that you will get something, even if it is only the basic. Also, be sure to submit everything WAY before the due dates, as McGill is known for taking lots of time such. They actually misplaced my file and almost denied my application because of it. Be careful!
