Hey everyone, Im a junior who is starting to get serious about forming a college list, and I wanted to get some help and advice. Im an average/slightly below average student. As, Bs, and Cs. I have had 2 Ds which I'm really worried are going to set me back. I will run through my stats and than put my current list.

Note: My school is on a 7 Point grade scale with weighting as follows. Honors is + 1, AP is +2

I'm taking the SAT this upcoming Saturday but these are the scores I'm expecting. I took a class and have had private tutoring
Math: 570-600
Reading 600-630
Writing: 600-650

As for ECs-
Counselor at Summer Camp- 3 Years
Lifeguard- 3 Years
Social Media Internship for University of North Carolina- 2 Years
Intern on NC Senate Campaign- 1 Year
Special Olympics- 2 Years

My recs should be pretty good, I have a great relationship with a lot of my teachers.

For financial aid, I know I wont likely qualify for much merit, and probably not much need based. My family makes about $100k a year. I will apply for it through, but it is not a deciding factor as my family has a decent amount saved for college.

Now as for colleges I am thinking about, please feel free to make recommendations, as I am open to other ideas. I would like to try to stay in the southeast, or around the DC area. Also, I would rather not attend a community college and transfer.

University of Mississippi
University of Alabama
Elon University (Early Action, maybe Early Decision)
University of North Carolina- Wilmington
East Carolina University
Virginia Tech

My top choice so far is probably Ole Miss. I toured and loved it.

Sorry for the length of this post and any feed back is greatly appreciated.
