I am in need of some serious help. I have returned to school after not having attended for about 10 years. When I was young, I made some dumb mistakes - got married, then moved across the country, got divorced, moved all over the east coast. I think I was just young and stupid and didn't realize how much I would have to make up for past mistakes in the future.

I attended a 4 year University in Utah as an early college student in 1997 and over the period of a few years, somehow ended up with a 1.6 gpa. I also attended an online school for paralegal studies, which I did well until my home life went awry and ended up with a 1.5 overall.

So after my moving all over the country, I moved back to Utah to work on school and have been attending a local CC. I have had 3.7 -3.8 each semester and a 3.85 cum gpa. I plan to keep this trend on. I will receive my AS in General Studies at the end of Spring semester. I am ready to transfer elsewhere for Fall 2010. Also, I am saving now and plan to attend school time and plan to quit working next summer.

I am looking to major in Finance and International Business and then hope to go on to law school. I would really like to be back on the east coast and near a major city.

Can anyone make any suggestions as to where I should apply with those circumstances? I have a really high gpa now, will the past severely hurt me even though it was so long ago?

I would like to apply for scholarships, but am unsure because of these circumstances.

Thank you and sorry in advance for the long post!
