<p>I just applied to UO as a transfer. I attended a liberal arts college and had a not so great GPA. Now I am at a community college in CA and I have raised my final GPA to a 3.2 combined. I am applying for the pre-journalism program at Oregon. I wanted to know what my chances are for admission?</p>
<p>Also, I am nervous about housing. I live in CA and I saw that housing is filled up for this year--at least the residence halls. According to the website, it seems apartments are reserved for over 21 and I will be 19 when I get there. Does anyone know if a lot of people drop out of housing or are there any other options?</p>
<p>I’m not sure about the housing situation. I know after you apply (and many students did this as early as last fall) you are encouraged to reserve housing by paying a housing deposit. This is before students have even heard back as to whether they’re accepted, and before they have made a final decision about where to attend. Obviously a lot of those housing reservations will not be followed by eventual matriculation.</p>
