Chances and opinions

Ok this is going to look bad, but bear with me for a second.

HS (all Level 1 classes, did take major subject classes as electives, rather than easier classes, which hurt me in the end unfortunately):

(5 math, 4 science (+1 fail), 5 social science, 4 english, 3 spanish, 3 computer, 1 elective (art))

9th Grade: 90.43
10th Grade: 83.25
11th Grade: 81.63
12th Grade: 76.28 (took a Chem 2 class for a challenge and bombed it since I had to put more time into a senior project, without that grade, GPA is 81.3)

Overall GPA: 82.8667
Overall Rank: 261/711

SAT (May 2001):
Writing: 570
Math: 660

Comm. College GPA: 2.3 (went to a community college outside of Philadelphia and took a majority of online classes, professors didn't care to help, I had to withdraw from courses A LOT because of work/family problems, etc)

Comm. College #2 GPA: 4.0 (only after 2 summer classes) I'm looking to take maybe 6-8 more courses to either earn my associates or have the max to transfer to a 4-year school.

One note is that in HS & CC, the classes that always had the best grades were math, computers, and economics (in HS), and math & business (in CC).

I'm pretty confident that my recent turnaround, coupled with my highest levels of work in the past, will be enough to grant me admission to a nice public school with a good accounting background. The only things I see that hurt me are the lack of activities in HS (worked basically after school & during summer) and the dips in my GPAs.

I'm definitely prepared to write essays and get recommendations from former employers and teachers if need be as well.

Also, I met with people at Pitt and they basically laughed in my face, even tho I did explain that if I did maintain a 3.6 average, I'd have a 3.0 GPA, which is their requirements. But I guess they didn't want to look past that first school.

Here's the list of schools on my radar:

Penn St - satellite school (Greater Allegheny)
Temple
Lehigh
Michigan
Michigan St
Ohio St
Illinois
Wisconsin
Maryland
G.Wash
Iowa
Arizona
Arizona St
UMass
Florida
Cal
San Diego St
Houston
Washington
Oregon
SUNY
CUNY

Really I'm almost at the point where whoever takes me is where I'd probably go unfortunately. There's no way to expunge those first classes from my record correct?

I know I'm not a 4.0 student but can anybody help??

You have a shot at Temple..

I think it's a good plan to stay in community college long enough to establish a great track record. With over a year of quality work, you'll be able to transfer to some of those colleges.
