Stats: American
31 on ACT... 34 28 34 26... Will the 28 on math and 26 on science hurt me even tho my composite is 31?
GPA unweighted is 4.0
Two honors classes soph and fresh year
3 aps this year ap Spanish apush and ap eng lang...
Next year looking to take ap clac ab ap psych ap eng lit and MAYBE ap French... Prob not ap french but if not then honors french. I'll also take honors Econ and honors gov.

I have met or will meet the prerequisites for my possible programs...

I'll either apply to the school of education or arts and sciences.

Since the arts and science school requires bio chem or physics and i have not taken advanced classes in any of them... Is that going to hurt me? I took advanced classes in math and eng instead.

If extra curricukars are important, which I understand they really aren't, I'll list them. As my stats stand right now, and if this is what my app showed... How are my chances?

Looks like you have a good shot. Keep your grades up. Also, I might recommend applying to arts OR sciences, rather than arts and sciences…if you are trying to up your chances of getting in arts OR sciences are larger/easier to get into than arts and sciences (the faculty) because this faculty is smaller/more selective. If you are in faculty of science you can take arts classes, and vice versa.

If you are above the cut-offs on the website for grades/average scores…those cutoffs tell you more than anyone on this site, though. If you are above them, you have a good shot.

Also, OscarUK…personally, I was in the same place as collegerm before…while noone on this site can say anything that can change a persons decision, it is still nice to hear what your “chances” are. It may not be the most logical for people to ask for chances, but people like to hear from multiple sources where they stand. If you are not going to post anything helpful, I would just hold off.

What’s not “helpful” are endless posts about ‘chances’ from people who are 100% guessing. All the same information is available to everyone on the McGill website about admissions stats and requirements, surely people can make their own decisions? Maybe not.

I had similar stats with you and I got into Mcgill if that helps you. I’m agreeing with dogman’s suggestion. The best thing for you is to get into either arts or sciences, keep your grades up during freshman year (pretty sure you’d be getting into U0), and then apply for a transfer into that faculty for U1.
