Ethnicity: Asian Male (Junior)

Location: Queens, New York

School: Stuyvesant High School

GPA: 3.7 (UW)

SAT: 2250 730 Reading 750 Math 770 Writing

Classes: Honors Chemistry, AP European History (5 on the AP test), AP USH, AP Spanish. Planning on taking AP Econ, AP Spanish Lit, AP Calculus, and AP Chem senior year

EC: Work for 3 years at Burger King, Chorus for 3 years, and Asian Culture Festival freshman year.

I know my EC's are really weak. Chances for Northwestern, BC, Cornell, West Point, NYU. Also can anyone give me some recommendations on where I should apply to if I'm interested in business, law, and engineering?

Anyone reply please?

Competition from your school is very tough; rely on your Naviance scattergrams to approximate the stats of kids who have gotten in to the schools on your list.

Objectively, the 3.7 UW seems a little low for Cornell and NU and it would help if you could provide your weighted GPA. Your SAT Reasoning is good and, hopefully, your ECs will be strong.

How exactly do I calculate my weighted GPA if my school doesn’t tell me what it is. The 3.7 is actually a 92.7 which I saw was roughly a 3.7

Can anyone else chance me?

Your only a junior so theres still time to raise your gpa. Get good grades this year and you’ll have better options for college.
