Hi i am planning on applying to hofstra university
i would like to know what would be the chances of getting into Hofstra with a scholarship if my SAT scores are
math: 580 reading: 520 and writing: 570
or math: 650 reading:550 and writing : 610
and my school gpa is 91

Unfortunately, Hofstra doesn’t look at Writing scores so you’ll have to rely on your Critical Reading and Math. Definately use your second set of scores, they’re all higher. Your Critical Reading (550) is within the mid 50% range for Hofstra so that doesn’t make you stand out. But your Math (650) is above the mid 50% so you may be considered for a scholarship off of that. What is a 91 for a GPA? Most schools have gpa’s on a 4.0 or 5.0 scale. Do you know what you GPA is converted? Do you have lots of exracurriculars? What’s you’re class rank?

Could you maybe chance me back? My post is “Need help with college application decisions”

Thanks!
