Very good chances. You will definitely get into the engineering program. Are u in-state or oos?

oh haha. i read your stats in the Emory.

yes, you have a good chance of getting into the engineering program. you rank matters a lot, esp for OOS.

i'd say your SAT scores are a bit weak to get scholarships. but it's worth a try.

thanks, yeah thats one thing I've consistently heard [Improve SAT scores] I am hoping to do that. Do you think it is possible for me to break 2100 - 2200 from a 2000, if I were to do a significant amount of studying?

you can definitly change your SAT score by a lot just by studying. I gained a nice 80 pts after 6 months without studying at all. You learn more than you would think in 6 months, so if it's been awhile since your last test my guess is you've grown quite a bit mentally. but studying a lot definitly can't hurt you.

question: would you consider UT if you didn't get scholarships? i noticed your list of schools. it's quite ambitious. i guess UT is a good saftey then.

i chose my saftey school (UT) over my reach school after i got into both b/c of the honors programs at UT (p2 and bhp). i know several ppl who chose UT over their "reach" school.

Yeah, money isn't really a big concern of mine, because my dad is willing to help me out. I am considering UT more a safety and would definitely go to my reach schools if I got in. I recently decided (thought about it a lot last night) that I am going to apply early decision to Stanford or Cornell depending on scores of SAT, which I am hoping are going to improve significantly with studying. but It would be nice to be in an honors program. :D

how is the education there? I assume you are still at UT
