But...
-My dad is an alumni at Princeton University, so I get legacy
-I managed to befriend a professor at Princeton, at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, during a college visit and he will write me a recommendation for me to go there (Princeton and Woodrow Wilson School).

So, esteemed CC members, I ask you some questions:

1) What are my chances? (I may or may not apply to all of them)
-Princeton (Top choice for those who haven't figured out already)
-Harvard
-Brown
-Dartmouth
-Cornell
-Columbia
-Duke
-UChicago
-Washu
-Emory
-Northwestern
-Vanderbilt

2) Considering how my SAT Reasoning/ACT scores are quite lukewarm and that my Subject tests aren't that stellar either, should I take the SAT reasoning or the SAT subject test on January for the last chance to beef up my test scores?

Thank you for your time, ladies and gentlemen.

Also, should I post this on the Test Prep and Princeton section of the forum to get more expert advice?

Your ECs are good…I guess if you want to re-take the SAT and study for it you can…but you would have had a better shot with the ACT.

All the Ivies on the list are going to be reaches for you, given your numbers although with legacy at Princeton you might have a better shot. You have a decent shot at Northwestern and Chicago; Emory and Vanderbilt shouldn’t be a problem.

Btw congrats on the debate achievements! I debate too :)

any one else?
Should I take the SAT Reasoning or the SAT subject test?

i’m not an expert, but i think your SAT/ACT scores are going to hurt you the most; if you can (i’m not sure about dates and such), i would suggest you take either the SAT or ACT again, depending on which one you feel more comfortable with as well as an sat II. but then again, if you’re applying this year, i’m not sure if you have that much time to do so/study for them either.

other than that, your ECs look great and legacy/unique background will help :)

But should I take the SAT reasoning or subject test?

bump?

Any more advices and chances?
