This Autumn I'm going to take the Literature and Math II SAT IIs and I am considering retaking the SAT I to improve my Critical Reading and Writing scores. Does anyone have any suggestions for improving my application and if I should apply during the Early Decision or Regular Decision periods?

Thanks so much.

You should apply ED if HC is your clear 1st choice.

You'll be competitive but so will 2/3 of the applicant pool in one way or another. So you're considering about 6 colleges to apply ED? The most obvious way to strengthen your application to any of these colleges is to understand the character of each school and what distinct opportunities and limits each place offers. Being an informed applicant comes through with essays and interviews and, for these little colleges, fit really matters and usually makes the difference between applicants with similar resumes.
