Chances? And when will I find out?

my d status still says under review her app was sent in oct 4 complete nov 5 this is nuts

I logged onto the my blue hen account and my application is under review. I sent my app in on November 16, but were on the site do you find out when it was complete?

still haven’t gotten a decision yet even though literally everyone in my school has lol

did anyone who was accepted, or still waiting, send out their first marking period grades?

While I understand the difficulty for those who are waiting…Rolling admission is new at UD. My d works in Admission office. They have been working hard inputting all the info. There is a system in place. When applications were received and completed are a determinant in when they are reviewed. While I do not know, it is possible that borderline applicants might not get a decision right away. My prior experience with two daughters and rolling admissions, is you get word fast if you are a lock wither way. Sometimes, the tough calls are deferred until they can see the entire applicant pool. Just sharing my experience. God luck to all, and have patience.

How do you figure out when your application was deemed complete.

My S was also accepted today with $5,000 scholarship. 3.7 GPA, 1290 SATs, lots of ECs, leadership positions, school sports. Scholarship information is on My Blue Hen page. Application was complete as of mid November.

CJCMK8- where are you from? I have similar stats to your son and I am still waiting. I’m from MA

We are from NY. Good luck to everyone.

Outside of school I teach tennis to children with autism and founded spread the dough in by state( bring food to homeless shelter. I have a couple more EC as well. If someone could chance me a would appreciate it. Thanks

did anyone hear anything today my d still says under review we are from ny

Jschoolio- I’d say your chances are very good but that’s just my opinion. Good luck ! :)

lsj617: I mentioned in response to your original “chance” question that my son got into the business school at UMass Amherst. He assumed he did when the portal said he was admitted to the university. I guess he didn’t look at all the information closely enough. The letter came in the mail a few days ago, and he was actually denied by Isenberg and got admitted only to his second choice major (undeclared). Very disappointed and surprised with his good stats since he wants to major in business. Still waiting to hear from UD.

uriman, Sorry to hear about the business school at U Mass denying that major. Your post outlines how important it is for folks to read the acceptance letters and packets very carefully, don’t just skim. Will have to remind my D of this! Hoping for better news for your son from UDel soon.

Lsj617: Thank you for the response, i’ll let you know if i get in

The admissions office must be closed due to the lack of anyone posting acceptances here.

My son really liked Delaware and is waiting to hear.

So far he has been admitted to Michigan, Wisconsin, UMass (honors) Indiana (Honors), so he has choices but the Delaware wait is killing him.

Historically most all of the offices/departments at UD have been closed the week between Xmas and New Years. I have not seen this announced yet for this year.

Uriman- UMass isenberg has gotten very competitive over the years, I actually just got admitted there last week so that makes me feel a little bit more optimistic about my chances with delaware  good luck to your son, I hope he gets into UD!

Also for those that have heard back from delaware- did you get an email from them saying your decision was on MyBlueHen?

lsj617: the biggest dilemma we have is the out of state tuition for UD vs UMass. I believe the two schools are similar reputation-wise, and paying $18-20k more for UD might not be a good value. What is your opinion?
