i want to major in chemistry and economics...i think...but like i just want to see if i have any chances whatsoever...also any other possible school suggestions??

thanks so much for reading!

JHU is definitely not above your head, but you need to make sure you show passion for something through your ECs. Chemistry and Economics are both good majors to choose. Economics would be backed up by your AP Calc score and SAT II Math 2c score. Chem would be backed up by your AP Chem and Chem SAT II scores. Your GPA is excellent, but your ECs seem weak to me.

I suggest you to not waste your time retaking those standardized tests...they are good enough for any school. Your EC's are very good, I don't know what fusiondogg is talking about. Also, your major won't matter for admissions and AP's are for placement anyways... For Hopkins, the best you can do at this point is write good essays and get some good recommendations and I'd say you're in very good shape. Other schools you may want to consider are Stanford, UChicago, Michigan, Penn, and Northwestern...but it's pretty much all up to your personal preferences.

I agree with fusiondogg. I think higher SAT II and ACT scores seem likely given your SAT I and AP scores.

What is Calc CD? Did they add something beyond BC since I graduated high school? Your ECs aren't outstanding from the way you presented them, but you seem to be a dedicated cellist. If that is true, I think you can focus on that. In either case, ECs are all about how you sell them. Just listing them really tells nothing about your level of commitment/passion.

asdfTT123 is right about you being in good shape, and has recommended good schools for you to consider. However, asdfTT1234 is incorrect about major not mattering for admissions, as BME has a separate application process. If you are applying for a different major, I don't think there's any problems with switching between them.
