<p>chances anyone? </p>

<p>i want to know (for real) what my chances are of getting into Carnegie Mellon University...which is way over my head but worth a reach</p>

<p>Indian female from southern california</p>

<p>scores:
780 M 680 CR 720 W = 2180 SAT (going to retake)
AP tests:
Chemistry 5
Calc AB 5
English 4</p>

<p>ACT 30 (first time, going to retake)</p>

<p>SAT subject tests:
Chemistry 740
Math 2c 710 (going to take again)
-going to take another one in eng lit</p>

<p>GPA: 3.9 UW
school doesn't rank but atleast in top 10%</p>

Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra
Pasadena young musicians orchestra
school orchestra-was first chair cellist
indian classical dancing-bharatanatyam
-received diploma for completion (graduation) in August 2006
leader in training at kid's camp part of recreation center
volunteered at LA regional food bank and local food bank
work experience and volunteer work at doctor's office
Co-president of student sierra club
-attended WUNDERS engineering program for women interested in engineering</p>

Orchestra 3</p>

<p>i want to major in chemistry and economics...i think...but like i just want to see if i have any chances whatsoever...also any other possible school suggestions?? </p>

<p>i think you have excellent credentials! i think you have a pretty good chance at CMU, and any other elite school if you write a good enough essay =)</p>

<p>Other schools? U Chicago, Cornell, UC Berkley... do your own homework.</p>
