What are my chances at tufts?

Your stats and scores put you in the ballpark but they don't make you stand out among all the similar applicants. That being said, work hard on your Tufts-specific essays and research what you like about the school and make that shine in your application. Good luck!

I think your chances are very good. My roommate at Tufts was from New Orleans. I'll never forget when she saw her first snowfall. :-)

oh yes, since ive never seen snow before, that would be rather amazing...

yes, you're in I think

I think you should update this post when you get your SAT Subject Test and second set of SAT scores.
Your grades are, of course, excellent, although your transcript is skimpy on APs.
I like the intensive music-oriented ECs, suggesting more than just an interest - a passion. That will play well, as will being EIC of the school paper.
If you get both your CR and your Math SAT scores into the low 700s (and you're almost there with the 690), that together with the New Orleans thing will stand you in good stead.
What's your first choice school?

i dont really have a first choice, but tufts is in my top 3. im applying to 12 schools (eeks!)
but yeah, my school only allows you take 2 aps. we have 4 (calc, euro, spanish, and french) but the way the schedule is set up only allows for two, either spanish or french, and calc or euro. i picked spanish and calc. i took honors womens history as my history. im in a graduating class of 40, so yeah.

sat II's should be okay...i took math 2, lit, and spanish on saturday...lit and math were okay, spanish was hard...
