Chances as a Community College xfer?

I'm thinking of moving in with a friend in Santa Cruz and attending Community College until I can officially establish residency and then xfer to UCSC or Berkeley.

Will med schools not even consider someone who did one or two years of undergrad at a CC?

(Note: This is not because I cannot be accepted to a university after I graduate. .it's because I really want to go to a UC and out-of-state tuition is not possible for me and my family)

Anyone know ?

Med. Schools will still consider you even if you went to a community college. Just try to take your pre-reqs to UCSC or Berkeley when you transfer, taking them at a CC might hurt.

If you cant go around taking lower division premed prereqs at your CC, don't sweat it too much. Just make sure you take some upper division science courses like biochemistry and some upper division biology at UCSC or Cal to show that you can handle tough upperdiv courses. btw, it is perfectly ok to take two years at a CC and transfer.
