Hi I am currently a freshman at Monmouth University and I was thinking of transferring to either UConn or UMass (I want a bigger school). I am an animation major and i currently have a 2.9 gpa. (first semester was rough). But I am going to work my ass off more than I did last semester to at least get a 3.0 or hopefully higher. My high school gpa was a 3.2 and my SAT score (on the old test) was a 1660. In high school I participated in a few clubs. 4 years of forensics and debate, Key club and ERASE club as well as two years of winter and spring track. Outside of school I also did a lot of charity work for my parish. I was wondering what would be my chances of getting into either school? I didn’t apply yet but I will in the next week because the deadline is very soon. Thanks

When you send your transcript they will see only your fall grades not your spring grades yet. I honestly doubt your GPA is competitive.
