hello asian man = =

your SATs are REALLY good (im envious)
so, gluck~

chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/760155-chance-me-lacs-rice.html</a></p>

No, I’m a US student.

Hi,
I’d say you have good stats, great SAT. But as you already know, many of your schools are hard to predict:
Duke - low reach
MIT - reach
Stanford - reach
Carnegie-Mellon - high match
Cornell - low reach
Princeton - reach
Harvard - reach

If financial aid is a factor, go for SCEA at Stanford.
Just apply and write amazing essays, i wish you good luck.

Chance Back?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/745578-what-colleges-should-asian-germany-look-chance-back.html</a></p>

NC State - safety
UNC - match
Duke - low reach
UChicago - Work on your applications
MIT - reach
Stanford - reach
Carnegie-Mellon - match
Cornell - match
Princeton - reach
Harvard - reach

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/746334-what-my-chances-these-liberal-arts-colleges-others.html</a></p>

NC State: Safety
UNC Chapel Hill: Match
McGill: Low reach/high match
Duke: Low/mid reach (your ethnicity hurts here)
UChicago: High match (ESSAYS!!!)
MIT: Mid reach (Very difficult for the stereotypical smart Asian)
Stanford: High reach
Carnegie-Mellon: Match/High Match
Cornell: Low reach (communicate your interest in your essays)
Princeton: High Reach (For everyone)
Harvard : High Reach (same as Princeton)

The only real flaws in your app, imho, would be the lack of major awards and nothing that really sticks out from the application pool. Find a way, through your essays, to let adcoms know you as a person, not as a compilation of very impressive numbers. Best of Luck!

NC state: match
UNC Chapel hill: match
mcgill: low match
duke: match
u of c: match
MIT: low reach
stanford: low reach
carnegie mellon: match
cornell: match
princeton: low reach
harvard: low reach

really, you have a good shot at all

NC State: easily, scholarship also?
UNC Chapel Hill: in/safety
McGill: match
Duke: match
UChicago: match
MIT: reach
Stanford: high reach
Carnegie-Mellon: match
Cornell: match, but like Duke, a higher a match
Princeton: high reach
Harvard: high reach, as it is for almost everyone

NC State - safety
UNC Chapel Hill - match
McGill - no idea, sorry
Duke - reach
UChicago - match
MIT - reach
Stanford - high reach
Carnegie-Mellon - match
Cornell - match
Princeton - reach
Harvard - high reach
I think the weakest part of your profile are your EC’s, nothing really stands out (except the Bausch and Lomb Science Award - congrats!), but they’re decent. Your academics are amazing though, IB diploma with straight A’s is really impressive. Good luck!

You have solid academics, and a decent rank. Try to get good grades this year to better it this year. The music passion is impressive, but all else is standard in the MIT/Harvard/Princeton/Stanford pool. You say you want to major in math, have you won any local math competitions or taken the AMC/AIME/USAMO? Those can add alot to your resume for MIT/Harvard/Princeton/Stanford, because those are the only four schools of your list that I can’t say for sure that you will get into. You do have a solid chance though if you write a great essay, keep your grades up, and make a good impression on your interview. The rest of the schools, you’ll get into.

GOOD LUCK, and let me know your decisions come April :D

you’re pretty much solid for all schools…obviously, Ivy’s and the equivalent are always reaches, but your app is pretty good. So, you’ll have a pretty good chance! Thanks for the earlier chance and best of luck! I’m jealous of all of you seniors going off to college soon!

First off, thanks for chancing me.

Secondly, you have an AWESOME screen name.

Thirdly, here’s what I think…

NC State - Definite
UNC Chapel Hill - Definite
McGill - ??? Canada?
Duke - Definite
UChicago - Probably
MIT - 50/50 (this is always a crap-shoot)
Stanford - 50/50 (this is always a crap-shoot - even moreso than MIT)
Carnegie-Mellon - Definite
Cornell - Probably
Princeton - 50/50 (this is always a crap-shoot)
Harvard - I’ll give you a 57% chance

Finally (and you can PM me on this one), I’m going to take 2 guesses about you…

 1. You’re in Raleigh
 2. You attend Enloe

PM me and let me know if I’m right.

(Your course load is remarkable, btw)

ivy league + duke + UChicago+ stanford = match

all others = safety.

good luck!
