Yeah but I bet you 99.9% of those students can pay a full ticket price (50k+) to travel half way around the world to cornell. Its all about the money.

Any source for these statistics?

cornell is need blind, end of story, alone, I already posted the links from your emails...

CORNELL IS NEED BLIND FOR INTL STUDENTS, ALL OF THEM, EVERY SINGLE ONE

regardless, OP, your chances are very slim in my opinion, and i have been stalking these boards for 2 years.

Haha :) I am just trying to understand if people have any evidence when they make claims like these...

I am applying to college of engineering, Chemical Engineering as my major. And yes I am financially capable of paying the full fees and will not require any financial aid.

I just spoke to the Cornell Financial Aid students and they said that they are not need blind for international students. Financial capability is a big factor for admission as an international student in Cornell as far as i know.

I think you misunderstand the meaning of need blind...

regardless, you have a VERY low chance for engineering. Your SATs will not make the cut.

you spoke to students? perhaps when they were admitted, it was very important.

I spoke to head of international admissions. she said cornell was needblind. in fact, that question was asked at least 10 times on the webchat, and she answered it 10 times with the answer that "Cornell is needblind towards international students, but does not meet 100% of their need."
