Civil Air Patrol (similar to JROTC)
Varsity Basketball (captain next year) coach's son under extreme scrutiny from classmates, players, and other parents. I don't know if this makes a difference, but I thought it might be a good essay topic about my difficult experiences in HS.
President/Founder of European-American Club at my school.
Chess Club
NHS
CSF

just keep up those grades and do well on those standardized tests...

what's nhs and csf?

do you plan on applying ED?

do all applicants (i applied as an engineering student) have to answer the $10 adventure question? if so, i'd think abt it over the summer and not the week before apps were due like i did...

NHS=National Honors Society
CSF=California Scholastic Federation (basically California version of NHS)

I'm kind of new so what does ED mean? Early something I know. What are the advantages of doing this. What are the disadvantages? Can I do it for more than one school.

ED = Early Decision. It means applying to ONE school and committing to enrolling if you get accepted. If you gotta compare financial packages, you should do RD (Regular Decision). Nice stats and stuff.

Thank you.

I recommend that you apply RD, I think you may do better in the applicant pool
