chances as transfer from nyu

I am currently a rising sophomore at nyu CAS. Since Cornell offers stronger programs in the fields of my interest, i would like to consider transferring there. My stats are:

3.8 GPA at the end of two semesters.
Expected to be on dean's honor list.
CAS Presidential scholar.
College ECS: Served as a co-chief editor in school newsletter. Member of a few clubs.

HS stats:
91 wavg rank 20/490.
1310/1950 SATS.
680 Math L1, 690 Math L2, 630 Physics
AP Environment, english lit and literature, calculus AB.
AP scholar.
Volunteered 50 hrs at a local elementary school. Member of Chess Club, Math Club, national council for unity.

I am possibly hoping to transfer into either Cornell CAS or COE at the end of my sophomore year. What are my chances, if any?
Thanks.

Your college stats r very strong...I'd say you have a chance if you write good essays n all that good stuff.

i applied from nyu cas for sophmore status at cornell CALS with a lower gpa then you and similar stats and extracurriculars and i got in. but, CALS is easier to get into than CAS and COE. I think you have a good shot, but its all a crapshoot being admissions tends to be really hard. good luck!

You may be able to choose a major and a backup major: if you really want to go to Cornell though, COE is considerably easier to get into than CAS (8% acceptance rate for transfers).
