<p>So far the only university (other than cambridge and oxford which i have no chance at getting into) in the UK that I know of is the University of Edinburgh... Do I have a chance at getting into University of Edinburgh?</p>
<p>Overall about Me: Junior, White, Russian Jew, Female,</p>
<p>Interested in: Double major in psychology and political science (i am willing to get only a degree in psychology if double major is not possible). I am considering going to law school after university, maybe in the US...</p>
<p>School: Very competitive public high school in northern NJ. My school was ranked ranked 2nd overall out of 316 schools in NJ. Very high Asian American (Chinese, Indian, Korean) population, most of whom are cutthroat.</p>
<p>SAT: I took the SAT in early May and am still awaiting my scores. I hope/expect to get above 2000, definitely over 1900. I plan on taking it again in June. I may also take ACTs later (next school year)</p>
<p>GPA: 3.7/4.3 weighted.</p>
<p>Honors: So far, I have taken Algebra 2 Honors (sophomore year), AP Lang (junior year), and AP Biology (junior year). Next year, I will be taking Child Psychology Honors (worth college credits), AP Lit, and Spanish 4 Honors.</p>
<p>Subject Tests: Yet to be taken.</p>
<p>Work/Volunteer Experience: The summer before my sophomore year, I completed 60 hours of community service by volunteering at my town library. Since October of my sophomore year, I have been working as a secretary/assistant/paralegal for a lawyer in my area and will be asking her to write me a college recommendation letter.</p>
<p>Extracurriculars: Member of the Domestic Abuse Awareness club for two years, member of the Animal Rights Club for two years, a member of Tech Crew for two years, (participated in sports during my first two years), and used to work for my school newspaper during my freshman year and next year I will be on the yearbook staff...</p>
<p>Recs: I asked my AP Biology teacher and my Child Development teacher (she also will be teaching Child Psych honors next year). I will also ask my employer (an attorney).</p>
<p>Legacy: None. My parents went to college in Russia.</p>
