Chances at acceptance?

Hi,
I'm new to CC, and really to the whole American college system. I'm a New Zealand citizen of Indian ethnicity and have spent my whole life (including high school) in Bangkok, Thailand.

I'm a junior and have just about a 3.63 gpa from an International School in Bangkok. I haven't done the SAT yet, but am confident of a 2000+. I'm doing the IB Diploma with Chem Econ Phys HL. My ECs are tennis, cross country team, student council treasurer (and posibly president for senior year), MUN (I've represented our school at Beijing (China), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Singapore and possibly Doha (Qatar) next year), Amnesty and Rotary member (doing on habitat for humanity).

I want to study finance, accounting, or economics (am not too sure). My high school has a gud history of ppl going to UIUC and Purdue. What kinda schools should I be looking at? I am an international student, and will have a few financial aid requirements, too.

Thanks again, this is quite helpful for someone like me who can't visit the US or any campus before making a decision.

NYU Stern. Michigan Ross.

Not NYU if he needs much aid, don’t know how much Michigan gives to internationals.

Your stats are below what’s needed for the few schools that give internationals generous aid. So how much you need is an important piece of info in directing you to schools. If you can pay half plus you will have much more choice.

i think i can handle about half, mayb around 20-25K a year. Also, I’m kinda hoping u guys could chance me on USC, I have family nearby there and it’s become somewhat of a dream school for me.
thanks anyways, appreciate the help

just a quick note, if it helps, the gpa is because of a subpar freshie year. I’m doin jus about a 3.97 this semester (junior second semester)

Maybe Minnesota, Indiana, Case Western and Wisconsin.

…bump…
