Chances at all!?

Hey I was wondering if this looks like what BU tends to like for music/creative writing majors:

*GPA: 4.19 weighted (going to rise)
3.82 unweighted (same)
*Rank: 31/317
*SAT: (they’re not fair)…writing 610, crit reading 520, math 550.
*ACT: Taking it June 10th.
*9th grade i took almost all honors (I have 2 B’s on my transcript and 1 b+), 10th grade i took 2 honors but got A’s across the board, this year (11) i took 1 ap and 4 honors and have all A’s. Next year, I am taking 4 AP’s (2 AP and 2 ap weighted honors) and 1 actual honors class.

Extracurriculars/interesting facts:
*People to people student ambassador program (summer of 2002)
*GLSEN board member (helps teach others about diversity)
*junior mendelssohn choir (2 years i a row, and soon to be next year!)
*voice lessons (past 2 years and when i was 8 and 9)
*piano lessons (11 1/2 years)
*cantoring for my rabbi for high holidays
*jazz choir (including a performance at PNC park, Pittsburgh’s baseball stadium–soon to be 2 years)

*6 months of Saxophone (5th grade!)
*1.5 years of guitar in 8th/9th grade.
There are about 3 or 4 I forgot about by the way ^_^

Thanks!!

get rid of all the stuff in middle school, colleges couldn't care less....your gpa is good and just write an amazing essay to balance those sat scores which may hurt you a bit.

yeah everything except your SAT is good...if you can get your ACT in the 28 or 29 range you should b good.... a 26 or 27 still will prolly get you in w/ your gpa...anyhow goodluck...try to get your 1070 up to about 1200..i know its a big jump...but study hard and give it a shot

if your having trouble with your SATs..i highly recommend to get a private tutor..i was getting scores like you in the 1000-1050 range even after SAT courses..but after a couple months with a private tutor i pulled it up to a 1250..
your grades and extra circ. are good..just try pulling that SAT score up a bit..or if u do well on the ACT u have a good chance

Are you applying as a music performance major? I think you need to audition. I would check with BU now about the double major. Would you apply to CFA, with a minor in creative writing?

yeahh DO NOT put all this middle school stuff on your app they will laugh at you haha. but you will most likely be accepted.

Practice, practice, practisc for your next SAT or ACT. If you can't afford a tutor or classes then go on line and learn yourself. With prep you should be able to raise your scores by 100 points. Your GPA is excellent.

You would probably be able to get into the GC, even with your SAT score as it is.
