Chances at American, NYU, UCLA, or Penn State???

I'm currently a sophomore in the ib program. I want to know what I need to do junior and senior year to raise my changes at admissions. Sadly I had some troubles with a few classes so my gpa isn't super high but since next year I will be taking ap classes I can boost my gpa. My gpa right now is 3.6 unweighted and like 3.8/4.0 weighted. I'm considering American University, NYU, UCLA, and Penn State (legacy), but I'm unsure which schools would accept me. Also, I'm considering majoring in either pre-law or a science (chemistry), if that helps you determine if I have a chance of getting accepted!

Freshman year
Pre ib english 1- a/a
Pre ib world history- b/a
Pre ib spanish 2- b/a
algebra 1- b/a
honors biology- b/c
Visual arts 1- a/a

Sophomore year
Pre ib world history- a/a
Pre ib english 2- a/a
pre ib spanish 3- c/c
honors chemistry- b/a
Geometry- a/a
3-d art- a/a

Future junior year schedule
ap english
ap environmental science
Ap psychology
Honors 3d art
Honors spanish 4
Honors algebra 2

If I get staight a's for junior and senior year I can raise my gpa to a 3.8/3.9. Will the c's ruin my chances? It upsets me very much about them because those classes were very difficult and I worked very hard to only get a c.

-I took the ap us history test and am waiting for results

-president and founder of H.O.P.E. club (helping our planets environment)
-volunteer at mayo clinic
-volunteer at animal shelter

-member of nhs
-art entered in state art show

Do I stand a chance of getting accepted??

Thanks for answering!
