Based on this, What do you think my chances are at American, and/or my other schools?

I think you definately get rejected at Michigan, BU is a maybe if you can get your GPA up. Don’t know anything about the others cause I haven’t looked at them at all.

American - Match
Fordham - Match
Michigan State - High match
Boston University - Match
Northeastern University - Match
Kansas university - Low match
University of Florida - Reach
USC - High reach/rejected

I agree that Michigan, BU, USC and probably Fordham are reaches, but I think you have a shot at UF, Northeastern and probably American as well. Work hard the first semester to get your GPA up a bit and those chances will be even better!

Thanks for the replys! yeah i didnt say i was applynig to Michigan tho lol. I would never go there cuz i couldnt get in. Would kansas be a safety school or should i find another scholl as a safety?

Sorry - that was my bad - I’m pretty sure you’ll get into Michigan State and I think you’ll get into KU, so it would probably be a reasonable safety.

got a 29 on my second Act. Do you think one point will actually make a difference? Also, heard someone from a nearby school got into american with a 4.5weighted out of 5 gpa. is that the same as a 3.6 out of 4?

bumpppppppppppp

American recalculates GPAs on a 5.0 scale (or so my AU admissions counselor said). The 29 ACT will definitely help your chances. AU Admissions site will give you the ranges. Your GPA should be on the lower end, but you have a shot. You’ll probably be accepted into Northeastern and Fordham. You also have good shots at BU, and I’m not really sure about the other colleges. However, your EC list isn’t that great, so while your numbers match, I am not sure how much you stand out amongst other applicants.

thanks for the reply. I have heard that early decision helps a lot. i should have a better shot applying ED than if I applied reg. decision rite?
