I understand my standardized tests aren’t so hot, my ACT is of course the more better one but I would really thank you guys that are reading it to give me some accurate and blunt feedback, don’t hesitate to be blunt!

Thanks

I think you have a chance their average ACT is 25-30. Your honors and awards need to be stronger. What are you interested in studying in AU because your awards range from Video to Aerospace so i’m confused. Good luck… just remember to write good essays.

You’re kidding, right?

I think your honors and awards are fine, and for the most part are a good match to what AU is looking for. The NASA Aerospace Scholar thing sounds particularly cool. :)

You might want to consider the option of not submitting your SAT scores, which I believe you can do until November 15th, as that seems to be your weakest link. Good luck!

you are in 100 percent

Hey, am also applying to American this year.

I think you’d be a good fit - the problem with asking people on CC is that they seem to think that unless you have a 4.0, are next in line to be President of the USA, and have a 2400 SAT, you should go to community college. That’s simply not true. Colleges do not want to see that you can juggle 15 different activities because that obviously means that you’re not passionate about many and your time is spread out very thin in between these. So, please, don’t listen to the people who say you need more/better.

@^ While agree on the fact that CC’ers tend to mostly be those who score very high and make up the top tier of highschool students, they do tend to “chance” fairly, nonetheless.

American U. is one of the few schools where you don’t have to guess about “chances”. They actually publish the admissions and attending rates at various levels of GPA and SAT/ACT. All you have to do is look it up (though they are usually a couple of years behind):
