Chances at ASU and UofA honors colleges

Im a junior in highschool have a 2.9 gpa had really crap grades freshman year but I got up to straight A's my sophomore year. Im taking IB and AP courses as well as college courses at my community college. All my courses I am taking are IB/AP courses, taking both test. I am planning on taking SAT and ACT (what scores would help me get in). I am captain of my swim team (1 year) MVP 2 years in a row. Varsity both years( I only played 2 years). Varsity tennis player. Im in NHS, Jets, IB club, and Spanish club. I do community service (over 250 hours)
I worked with a moving company traveling and moving people across the country.

With all that said what would my chances be to make it into there honors colleges. My GPA unweighted is that low but I went from 2 F's my freshman year to all A's my sophomore would that count for anything?

You have pretty good ECs but your GPA isn’t that great. They may consider your determination to get better. I’d say you have a 50% chance of making it.

UAZ and AZSU honors both are akin to entering UCSD or UCD in terms of “how hard it is to get in”…

Don’t apply to the honors college you won’t get in. If you want to go to asu apply to the regular college and you will be offered admission!

Why would you want to go into the honors program at university if you found high school hard? I’m sure the regular curriculum will be tough enough for you.

I live in arizona so i might be biased but it is pretty easy to get into UofA honors, easier than UCD or UCSD for sure.

Why do that though? I’m in an honors program and it is much more difficult than the regular one. He will set himself up to fail considering he had a 2.9 GPA in high school.
