Chances at AU?

<p>I live in Potomac, MD (10 mins from Washington DC) and attend a very competitive high school. </p>

<p>I’m a Persian girl and I’m applying RD to AU</p>

<p>GPA: 3.4uw, 4.0w
SAT: 1750 (540v, 660m, 550w) ugh
My school doesn’t rank, but I’m def in the top 25%
I took Math I and US history SATIIs last Saturday
Taking ACT in 2 weeks</p>

<p>I take many honors/AP classes, I took chem as a 9th grader and physics and bio as a 10th grader</p>

<p>Senior Year classes:
Latin 2
AP European History
Honors English 12
AP Economics
AP French
Honors Calculus</p>

<p>ECs:
Basketball Team (all of high school)
Softball Team (all of high school)
Volunteering at a kindergarten class two times a week after school for a whole year
Persian Club (VP)
Tennis (I play at least 4 hours a week)
Went to French camp in Switzerland for the summer (3 hours of French classes everyday)
Interned at International Technologies Trading (filing, researching, talking to vendors)
Farsi School for 5 years</p>

<p>Do i have a shot of getting in?</p>

<p>What happened with the SAT? Especially if you are taking so many honors/AP.</p>

<p>If you could get the standardized score up id say you are in. Athletic resume is impressive.</p>

<p>i'm a currenet student at AU... bring up the SAT (here at AU... i notice that SATs are quite impt... like more so then GPA) and i say that u have a very good chance. does american have a good reputation for business?
i have a 3.9 unweighted GPA, SAT excpecting 2000, would u consider American an easy SAfety? should i be aiming higher?
any help would be appreciated
