Probably forgetting stuff... I normally don't do these but I'm so torn as to which schools to apply to. I really like Barnard so far. My parents are most likely letting me apply to 10 schools MAX

ur sat scores are just ok for cornell. your probably good to go if you are applying in the states. you are in trouble if you are international

I’m in the states. I also live in NY which may make a difference if I apply to CALS or Human Ecology.

I’m also legacy at UPenn.

k, ur gpa is awesome. i really see it hard for u to get into cornell with a sub2100… but then again, its easier for u americans

haha kelloggss you see my EXACT dilemma
I’m trying the ACT in April though. I guess if I studied more on the SAT I’d do well, but then my grades would drop (AKA destroying everything I’ve worked the past 3 years for) so I don’t think it’s worth it. If the ACT doesn’t work out I will probably study for the SAT A LOT over the summer and hope everything goes well in October.

Do you not have time to study the SAT AND do hw?

disagreement it’s more than just homework, it’s studying, ECs, sleeping, etc… I’m also assuming that to bring up my score I’d need AT LEAST 1-2 hours a day. Anyway, there is no way I can take the SAT again before October unless I don’t take the ACT. (I can only have 4 SHP absences and already have 4 planned with the ACT). I’ll admit, I did slack off a bit while studying especially since I had Christmas Break. I was also overconfident, assuming my low score the first time was a fluke (it turned out to only be 20 pts lower than my 2nd sitting).

Ah…I totally had that…haha. I just ended up going to bed at 12-1 am every day and getting 5-6 hours. I did slack off too…did you take the Jan test?

Best of luck in the future though!

We juniors got our work cut out for us…

I took December and January. OMG I’m so relieved that you didn’t call me stupid for not doing my work as many CCers would. I’m 16. We teenagers can only do so much and I’d rather invest my time with things that will help me IN college.

Good luck I you too disagreement :)

i think u can def raise ur sat mark!! i raised my sat from a 2160 to a 2310 in a month WHILE not droping gpa by a single one hundredth…

Your resume really seems like a grocery list except for the couple of research stuff…
Interesting. You say hopefully Brown but you don’t even mention Brown.

If you apply to UPenn, your legacy status will bump you a lot, but I’ve seen legacy people with higher stats and the athletic recruiting thingy get deferred, so yeah.
