<p>Also my mom passed away from breast cancer, and that's sort of been my inspiration towards the medical field. I'm planning on using this in my BS/MD program application essay after i'm accepted into the undergrad. school.</p>

<p>your chance of getting into rice undergrad is very low w/ a 2060 SAT (1400 Cr+M) score and a 3.83 GPA, let alone getting into any BS/MD program. There is nothing spectacular about your EC’s. You have no medically related EC’s. Your leadership positions aren’t very strong besides tennis.</p>

<p>BS/MD programs take kids who have shown a strong commitment to medicine. A personal essay about your mother’s death is a good impetus, but they want students who have actually immersed themselves in the medical environment through research, hospital/clinic volunteering/ shadowing/ EMT/First aid etc…</p>
