taking math 1 and lit in november
taking the ACTs oct 22nd
GPA w: 3.9578
Top 20% of class
President of Math honor society
Varsity Epee Fencer
National Honor Society
Community service clubs (Intereact, Meals on wheels)
Major would be in polisci or middleeastern studies, but im going in undecided?
College Essay: my brother was in the military, hes no longer with us.

AP Euro

Junior:
Precalc, AP Phys AP Stats, Honors English (3 on phys, 5 on stats)</p>

<p>My reaches are brown and gtown, which im probably not getting into :, but brown college would be my top choice after that.</p>

<p>I’m not good at chances, but I’ll offer two comments.</p>

<p>1) Consider Math 2 instead, since it has a more generous ‘curve’ than M1, and you have already completed precalc. Pickup a prep book and take a practice test at home to see how you do. It’ll only take an hour.</p>

<p>2) Be careful with your essay. When writing about someone else meaningful, it is easy to spend most of the time writing about that person. But “that” person is not applying to college – YOU are. Thus, just make sure the focus is on you, and perhaps how your brother and your family shaped you. and thus what you would bring to the BC community. Search cc for posts by scottj who has wonderful suggestions to other posters on how to fashion a ‘Why BC’ essay.</p>
