I have just been having some really unfortunate luck at some of the schools I recently applied to. I applied to Bentley as a finance major for EA, what do you think my chances are?

GPA: 3.6/4.0
AP’s: 2
Honors: 6
EC’s: all the good stuff… too lazy to list lol
SAT’s: Math-570 Writing-510 CR-480 (I know, it’s low but I tried really hard, I just couldn’t get it up)
ACT: 23 (Same thing)

I would appreciate honest answers, thank you.

Not an expert, but your chances seem to be around 15%. Your GPA is strong though. With stellar essays and a sincere desire to attend Bentley you may be able to overcome the low test scores that put you in the bottom 25% of students attending the university.

I recently got accepted to Bentley with a 3.63 and a 1800 SATs. I’m not good at Standardized Testing, however, if you can possibly squeeze in an interview before decisions are mailed in Jan, I think you have a good shot. They’ll see your interest, and you can directly tell them that you work hard and that you struggle as a test taker. I’d say you actually have a decent shot.

Thanks. Idk if an interview is going to be possible as I have a lot to study for mid term exams but my college counselor is close to the admission rep for my area and she said that she will give them a call. Hopefully everything works out well!

I would put you’re chances well above 15%, your high school transcript is often the most important part of you application and your’s is very strong will all of those ap and honors classes and a high gpa. Good Luck!

Again, just recently accepted to Bentley under ED with a 3.63 gpa and 1800 SATS. You’re on the weaker side of the spectrum, but Bentley does accept a huge range. I know on my school college website the average accepted is like a 3.2 so I’m sure your gpa will be fine. It sounds like your ECs will carry you over and they will certainly be impressed by your own business. I say you have a really goood shot!

Please chance me:
Hi, before I begin I would like to say I appreciate your input.

I am the descendant of haitian immigrants who never went to college.
I am currently a junior and will be the first to go to college and probably the last since my little brother is autistic.

I entered my junior year with a 2.6 GPA, and if my calculations are correct I will end this semester with a 2.7 GPA . The reason for my low GPA is due to domestic issues (depression & divorce) However, I am a student with a lot of potential however that does not reflect on my transcript, unfortunately.

I have been doing quite well this year with an AP course in addition (AP English with a solid B)

This year I am taking:
Accounting I
Web Development
AP English
French 3
CP US History
Algebra 2
Honors Chemistry
And I am currently a student aid for an entrepreneurship class. I assist students with their business plans for an In School Business Plan Competition.

I have not taken my SATs yet; I plan on taking them in June up until November of next year, just so that I can complete my Algebra 2 course and develop my vocabulary.
I am aiming for 2000

Next year I plan on taking 4 AP courses:
UCONN Microeconomics
UCONN Macroeconomics
AP Biology
AP Literature (English)
