I was admitted to USC (Marshall School of Business) this spring, but my dream school has always been Berkeley. This may sound stupid, but I really need help in finding out stuff about Berkeley. I believe their application deadline has already passed for transfers? I'm not too worried about that because i've heard Berkeley lets you transfer up to 80 units/hours. Here are my stats, advice would be appreciated. Can someone also tell me if i've fulfilled the breadth requirements?

Current School: USC (Previous school was the University of Houston)
Major: Business
GPA: 4.0/4.0 (54 hours as of right now)
High School: Don't know if high school record will matter now, but my SATs were 1070/1600 (1560/2400)

I've taken the following courses and have made A's in all of them.
English 1
English 2
Calculus 1
Calculus 2
Calculus 3
Intro. to Sociology
Geology
Ethics
Microeconomics
Macroeconomics
Cultural Anthropology
History 1
History 2
Government 1
Government 2
Art History
Accounting 1: Financial

Do I have any shot at Haas? I believe that for the business pre-reqs i'm just missing a computer course and stats, which I can take during the spring.

you are out-state student rite? and y would u transfer to Cal? USC already has a great business program!

if u want zero social environment then berkeley is a good place for you
iono where u heard you could transfer 80 units
i've alwaes heard it was 72

i know people wanting out of berkeley to go to USC
so hearing someone from USC to berkeley is quite a rare case i would say.

your grades aren't really the issue here.
but transferring from a 4 year college will bring down your chances alot.
and don't forget this would be your second transfer. wonder what the admissions would think about that. personally i would have no clue either

i don't know the breadth requirements word for word
but by skimming ur classes ur lacking foreign language
unless u've done them in your high school

Thanks for the advice y'all! Berkeley's just always been my dream school. I guess after you get to know people, it shouldn't be too bad. Yes, Guardiangel, i've taken three years of foreign language in high school.

Besides stats and a computer course for Berkeley, i'll be starting my major classes for business at USC. They wouldn't transfer over, would they?

Lastly, if I did choose to apply, i'd have to apply for Fall '09? Because the Fall '08 date has already passed and I don't think they accept spring transfers for business. If I have to apply in Fall '09, it would be worthless, unless some of my major classes did transfer over...Can someone please let me know of this? Thanks!

if ur applying next year you do NOT need a computer class. yes u'll have to apply for fall 09 unless there is another way to apply.

Thanks, Guardiangel. Do you have any idea if some of my major business classes would transfer over? If not, then oh well, i'm satisfied with SC, lol.

yes they will transfer over... but if i m not wrong there is an additional business class u are required to take
"Business: One general business course. Students attending schools where such a
course is not available must take an appropriate course at a different
California community college."
