Personal Statements:
1.
Talked about how my dad came from India by himself when he was 18 and pretty much lived the American dream and how my mom came from North Dakota and how their morals and what they know has shaped me to what I want to do in life
.blah blah blah. Btw I live in Newport Beach a city totally opposite from everything they knew. Essay talks about me but my parents kinda set the background of it and I expand off that.

2.
Talked about an experience about my dad having quintuple bypass surgery and my having an enlarged heart and both were bed ridden my whole freshmen year and first semester sophomore year. Pretty much lived without parents and had to manage the household. Talked about how I became independent and how to do things without depending on other people. I also talked about how this experience made me branch out to other people. I had a small group of friends but then grew out and made a bunch of friends.

Additional Notes: I mentioned how my experience in the beginning of high school and coping with these family circumstances restricted me from reaching my full academic potential for my first three semesters of high school.
