Chances at Berkeley/UCLA

I am a ccct student and was wondering what my chances are at:

Berkeley
UCLA
USC
UCSD

My gpa is 3.6, including the fall semester. Im a political Science major, and have a guaranteed transfer agreement to UC Davis, but Im dying to get into Berkeley. I am IGETC certified, and I am lined up for two associate degrees. Im a permanent Alpha Gamma Sigma member, I have worked 30 hours a week, for the past year and a half. Also I was a volunteer firefighter for the city of Stockton for over a year and a half, and half significant community service hours. I incorporated that into my UC application. Dont know if it helps that I did horrible in high school, and I am a total turn around. Thanks

Your knowledge of grammar is appaulling. I think a 3.6 is nice, but if your application essay reads anything like your question then I think you're in trouble.

Berkeley accepted only 17% of the Fall 2004 transfer applicants for a social science major. Political science, specifically, will be more difficult. You're inside the middle 50% (3.56 - 3.91) range for the average admitted transfer student, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

While the volunteer firefighter thing is neat, I'm wondering what it has to do with being a political science major?

HAHAH.. oh my gosh. I can't help but laugh at this.

To quote communist smurf:
"Your knowledge of grammar is appaulling."

Your knowledge of spelling is APPALLING.

Why does this guy flame everyone.

Being a volunteer firefighter has nothing to do my major. However, Berkeley does ask for any significant community service, or substantial experience with other cultures. That is why I mentioned it in my application. In regards to your comment on my grammar, if you would like me to rewrite the question for you in a formal letter I would be happy to. Obviously it took me no more than one minute to write this post, and if it makes you feel better I took a great amount of time on my application essay. Thanks for your input though.

volunteering at the local firefighter station has everything to do with political science because that major requires realtions in and with the community.

for your major and because of your GPA..your chance to berkeley is low, UCLA is alrite and UCSD & USC is good..good luck..you nver know, so don't give up hope yet...

For LA... 3.6ish is the range you want to be... are you in TAP by any chance?
