chances at berkeley

What do you think my chances are at Berkeley
California Resident
major: Electrical engineering
GPA unweighted: 3.8
GPA weighted 4.2
1350 SAT I (760 math 590 Verbal)</p>

<h1>honors/AP classes taken 11 (8 of which are APs)</h1>

<p>AP US History 5
AP English Language 3
Tons of Community service (CSF,YAC, SADD, Elections, SBC global volunteer for EETT funds)
clarinet section leader of marching band, Pres of French club, participant in Les Amis enrichment program
2 science fair first place awards, schlorship to a summer music program, student of excellence, teacher departmental award, NSLC, cerificate of recognition</p>

<p>Unfortunately EECS is one of the hardest fields to get into. Your chance of being accepted isn't very high</p>

<p>no kidding 8% or lower acceptance rate (eww)... I hate that. But the thing is, you really can't tell with Berkeley sometimes. Studies have shown that poor students with 900 combined on their SAT I's have gotten into Berkeley. However, I don't know how many of those types of students made it into EECS. In one of my essays I talked about my struggle to recover from neurological problems. WOuld this increase my chances?</p>

<p>Most colleges won't look at problems like that. So it can't help or hurt you. I'm going to have to say that chances are slim over all because its hard to get into Berkeley and its even harder to get into the EECS as fdasdf mentioned.</p>
