I am applying to the following schools for my junior year. I am currently a freshman: Phillips Exeter Academy, Choate Rosemary Hall, The Perkiomen School, Middlesex School, and the Loomis Chaffee School. My grades are as follow, however they are a bit lower than normal because I just came from a public school to a more difficult college-preparatory school:
Biology: B+
French I: A-
Geometry: A-
Literature: B
World Civilizations: A-

I take part in various extra curricular activities including: photography club, church youth group, piano, violin, alto saxophone, admission and alumni offices aid club, soccer, community service, etc.

I forgot to mention that my overall GPA is a 3.48.

You have a long way to go. Study the schools and find the ones you are truly interested in, then tour the campuses; do the interview; get your letters of Recommendation; do your essays and schedule the SSAT test. Most kids applying for the top schools have a GPA of around 4.0 and an SSAT score of 85+, so try to be in that territory by the time application time rolls around. It will also matter if you are applying for financial aid. So there are many, many factors. Nobody can answer your question based on the limited information you gave. But the fact that you are asking means that you have taken the first step, which is to imagine it. Now work to turn that dream into a good application, and into reality. Good luck to you.

like exeover says most applicants apply with an 85+ and a 4.0. But the average gpa is around a 3.75 for gladchemms so I wouldnt be worried as long as you have a 3.5 or above.

If you “just” moved to a “more difficult college-preparatory school”, then the BS will probably be curious why you want to change school again so soon.

I wish to explore boarding school life. While my current school is a boarding school, I live too close that it would make sense to board.

What’s your SSAT score?

I have taken the SSAT before, but I took it after I was accepted to my school so I did not have to pay for it. Because of this, I didn’t receive a score. When do you think I should take the SSAT?

I think your app looks great and you’ll be fine. The most important part is to be yourself.
