Chances at Boston College ED?

Hello everyone! I am an HS Senior and I plan on applying ED2 to Boston College for finance. I was just posting this to get a general consensus or opinion on my chances at admissions. I know my GPA and SAT are pretty low for the school and my odds are not that good so that’s why I would love complete honesty if possible. For context, I am a First Gen College student, Hispanic (IDK if it matters), IB Diploma Candidate. My Stats are:

86.4 UW/91.7W GPA///1350 SAT(620M-730RW)///Pretty good extracurriculars, I served as Treasurer for my city’s Royal Ranger Outpost (Christian Boy Scouts basically), Tech Director of my school’s TV studio program, 2 clubs, plenty of employment with one being a decent office job, starting my own business reselling clothes and starting a YT channel for IB students.///My essays are pretty decent as well

Any feedback and honest responses are appreciated. I don’t mind if you say I have no shot I understand. Thanks in advance!

Edit: Also let me know if you guys think I should send my SAT scores or not. I saw a user on here say that 58% of accepted ED1 applicants for BC chose not to. With such high ranges, I don’t know if I should. However, it may make me look better due to my low GPA.

Based on Boston Colleges stats you are on the low end but at the end of the day, you are applying ED which is binding so that definitely helps your application. I would say there is really no predicting if you’ll get in or now.

Would you suggest I submit my SAT?

What school are you applying to at BC? Class of 2024 admitted SAT mid 50% range was 1410-1520, enrolled 1350-1480. https://www.bc.edu/bc-web/admission/apply/admission-statistics.html

Posters can’t see the totality of your application…including the rigor of your IB curriculum, senior year classes, essays, and LoRs…so really, we are operating in the dark. Have you asked your HS GC their opinion? I would likely defer to theirs.

However, because you are URM and in an IB curriculum I lean slightly towards sending (but again, I only know a very small piece of your app).

Any thoughts @myos1634?

Edited to add: Make sure you are applying to a handful of match schools and have at least one affordable safety. Does BC look affordable per their net price calculator (only apply ED2 if it looks like it will be affordable)?https://npc.collegeboard.org/app/bc

Thanks for your response! I am applying to the Carroll School of Management for Finance. Last year my Schedule consisted of all IB except for Gym and an elective and this year I am all IB with 2 Honor electives. I did take the easier IB Math class (IB Math Applications) and IB environmental (easier as well). Also, throughout 8th-10th grade I have taken 7 honors classes and AP World History. As far as my essays go I’m not trying to sound like I am bragging or anything like that but out of the handful of teachers I have showed them to, they all say they’re very good. Also, my guidance counselor suggests that I send them.

I would send your scores since that is what your GC recommends.

Please make sure to apply to a handful of matches and at least one affordable safety. Have you done that? Did you run BC’s net price calculator?

Yes, I have run the calculator and it should work out good.
