Chances at Boston U (School of Management)

Currently a high school Junior. I'm just looking to see what you guys think of my chances. I plan on applying ED. I go to a nationally ranked and state ranked high school in Illinois. I'm also an asian minority in a LARGE white population in the middle of nowhere and I don't think anyone has applied to an east coast school in almost 5 years. I also will not need any financial aid if that helps any. My act score is low but its also my first time taking it with very little prep. Here are my stats.
Major:Business
3.6/3.65 GPA
ACT: 27 (am retaking)
EC's: 3 years of Freshman Adviser, 4 years of Baseball
Majority of classes have been Honors and my Senior year I will have AP Calc and AP bio under my belt.
Class Rank: 45 out of 266. Top 20% (again my school is very competitive with almost 20 valedictorians in last years graduating class. Out of 250 students)
Thanks guys!

Are those the only EC’s you have? Have you done anything special or shown leadership?

I failed to mention I will have 3 years of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). Freshman Advisory is technically a leadership position. Requires recommendations and an interview. We partner with student council on most activities as well. Unfortunately I don’t have much more than that.

Did you mean to say that you are planning on applying RD? (January 1) The deadline for ED has already passed. (November 15)

Your stats are on the mid to lower end of the accepted applicant pool, so you stand a decent chance. I would say BU is a match/high match for you. Have you taken advantage of advanced courses at you high school? Is your schedule rigorous compared to your peers? BU likes to see that you have challenged yourself. If you improve your ACT score, you will probably fall right into the mid range of accepted applicants.

I am currently a Junior in high school not a senior. So I plan on applying ED in 2014. As for advanced courses my school does not offer many AP’s until senior year where I will be taking AP Calc and AP Bio. I have taken plenty of Honors Courses throughout high school.

more input would be appreciated
