Good shot! GPA might bring you down, but your ACT scores are well above the median

BU cares about GPA and course rigor more than test scores, so while that high ACT will buoy you a bit, it won’t weigh as heavily as a high test score might at some schools. Now, when you say negative trend, so you mean between Freshman and Sophomore years? If your grades went up Jr & Sr year in more challenging classes, that will count for a lot. Your UW GPA is right on BU’s average, so if you have good essays, you have a perfectly decent shot.

Yea I had a negative trend from freshman to sophomore year, but I took more weighted classes in junior year where I had 3 AP classes and 1 honors class. This year I have 4 AP classes and 1 honors class and I got all A’s.

@proudterrier Is biomedical engineering competitive at BU because I know their program is reputed?

I’m less familiar with engineering at BU, TBH, since I was a COM kid… I just know ENG kids work hard and apparently do pretty well in the work force  There might be someone else on here who knows more about that specific program.

Okay! Thanks for your response.
