What are my chances at BU for either the School of Communications or the School of Management?

Bump? Also, I’m not sure if this is important, but I come from a low-income home.

right now~reach

If you can improve on those test scores you’ll be a solid applicant.

Low reach.
GPA is fine, but the 25th percentile for SAT scores is 1920. You might want to take the ACT again as well. Your ECs are looking very good, and its also good that you are taking APs. Is the GPA you posted weighted or unweighted?

Either way, just focus on raising those test scores for now.

Please chance back.

Thanks, y’all! The GPA I posted is unweighted, I believe.

Bump again!

Another bump? Sorry!

I think that if you can get each section of your SAT up by 50 points, so around a 1900, you’d have a really good shot. As of right now, it’s a low-mid reach. Good luck.

Thanks! I appreciate it. Good luck to you as well.

standardized testing needs to be upped a bit. other stuff is fine

Thanks! Bump?

You have okay extracurriculars and applying with your GPA is kind of a stretch. However, it is possible. I’d make it a mid reach. Mid-high reach if you’re feeling paranoid.

I’d take the chance to retake ACTs or SATs because the middle range of BU scores is around 1800-2000. Hm…what are your AP scores? If they’re high, it’ll only make your chances better. Plus, the grades in your junior APs are great.

After taking some practice tests, I’m expecting to get a 600-650 on Critical Reading and about a 700 on Writing. I don’t see Math going up too much, though.

On my AP English Language test, I got a 3. I think it’s mainly due to the fact that we spent all year working on writing for the test, but didn’t start covering multiple choice until about a week beforehand.

Thank you!
