Chances at BYU or University of Utah

Hey guys thanks for reading. I wanted to know what my chances are for getting into Brigham Young University or University of Utah. I'm just an average student and always have been. I don't have much so any ideas on how to improve my resume would help greatly

year: 08
GPA: 3.5
Act: 31
Rank: Top 25% bla
Im taking APUSH this year and am taking Ap Lit Ap Biology and AP Gov next year. Ive only taken 1 honors class though.
I have not taken any SAT II but I plan to take a couple

EC's:
President of Peace Club
Black Belt in Tae Kwon Doe (does that count for anything?)
Eagle Scout
Duty to God Award
Varsity Basketball/State Champ/Captain
School of Business
FBLA

I think thats it. I just realized I don't have any volunteer hours so I could work on that. If you see anything else I could improve on please let me know. I plan on raising my ACT a bit more too. Thanks for your time.

31 ACT you will definately get into U of U and BYU. Are these the only schools you are applying to? Try and take the SAT 11 and apply to a couple of more schools. Where in Utah are you from?

What're your seminary credentials? The rest is good enough for BYU.

As far as seminary goes I will graduate with all 4 years in seminary. And yes I am mormon and I am planning on serving an LDS mission. Those are the only 2 colleges I am planning on applying to right now. Im sure I will get interested in more as I get do more research. And I am from St.George. I go to Pine View High School.

St. George is beautiful. I used to live in Provo. Good luck.

Really solid chance at each. Do you live in state? I live in SLC so my requirements are on the low end of the academic range for the U of U but I'm fairly certain that you can get into the LEAP program at the UofU with those stats.

Thanks for your comments guys. And yes I live in St.George which is in Southern Utah
