chances at cal poly pomona

<p>Hey guys does anyone here go to CPP? I'm a senior and regretting that i didn't put any effort into my earlier years at high school, that's why the best school i can get into is probably a cal state. My GPA is 3.02(don't laugh) rank 181/602, barely making the top 30 percent(i know that still sucks) and got a 1700 on the new SATs. My brother goes there and hes a junior now, he only had a 2.8 GPA and had about the same SAT score as me,1100(on the old SAT). Do you guys think i have a chance or is it way harder because of the new SAT and all the requirement updates? If i can't get in what other good cal states do you think i have a chance at? Fullerton? SD?</p>

<p>cal poly pomona has a tiered admissions system. if you graduated from a high school within its "service area" of roughly about thirty high schools nearby you are a lock for admission. if you are from farther away it might be a bit more of a reach given that admissions standards keep going up as CPP becomes increasingly selective. fullerton is a decent backup with lower admission standards but still pretty good academics.</p>
