Im a junior, so ive got time, just trying to get a feel for it. Unweighted gpa 3.88 like 5 honors classes so far (ap not available before jr year), three ap's this year(apush, ap calc, ap lang) probably four more next year. Three years varsity soccer. I havent taken the sat yet, but based on my stats so far what do you think my sat will have to be to have a pretty good shot at cal poly's engineering school? Middle class white male

Cal poly slo not ponoma

I think if you get an 1700 SAT score with a strong Math score, you’ll be in. You have a good GPA.

Really? Thats lower than i thought i would need… Thanks though

Anyone else?

[Student Profile - Admissions - Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo](<a href=“Cal Poly Admissions”>Cal Poly Admissions)

Fall 2012 college of Engineering
GPA 3.98
ACT 30
SAT (math & reading only) 1346

Cal Poly prefers the ACT and does not use the writing portion of the SAT

By the way - the only way to compare your GPA is using the CSU mentor calculator - not your school’s transcript number
