What are my chances of getting into CSUF, CSULB, SDSU with a gpa of 3.6 and a SAT of 1210? I am planning on majoring in kinesiology or some health related field but I know that it is an impacted major and I am unsure of getting in.
All Cal states admit by eligibility index and major. If you are local (within the local service area), you get priority but not a guarantee of admission for impacted majors.

If your GPA of 3.6 is the capped weighted CSU GPA, then your EI is (3.6 x800) + (1210)= 4090
For SDSU, a target EI is 4459 since average CSU GPA was 3.97 and average SAT was 1283 for 2019 Freshman admits
For CSULB, a target EI is 3930 which is an average CSU GPA of 3.5 and SAT of 1130. Out of area applicants had 4000+ EI’s especially for Kinesiology.
For CSUF, a target EI is 4071 which is an average CSU GPA of 3.68 and SAT of 1127.
I would say SDSU is a Reach, CSULB is a Match/High Match and CSUF is a Match/High depending upon if local or non-local.
I would apply widely and add at least 1 non-impacted campus to your list for Kinesiology. Sacramento State and San Francisco State are good options.
My weighted CSU gpa is around 3.7 to 3.8. Would that slightly increase my chances in these schools?
A 3.7 GPA gives you a 4170 EI and 3.8 gives you a 4250. Still not enough to be competitive for SDSU so I would still consider it a Reach school however, CSULB and CSUF look more like solid Match schools.
