Chances at California Schools

Hello, I am an upcoming high school senior and am very interested in California schools. I am in-state (northern ca) and my top schools are:
UCSD, Cal Poly SLO (early decision), CSU LB, UC Davis, UC irvine, UCSB. OOS is Colorado School of Mines, U washington, Colorado State. I do have safety schools. My major is either biomedical or mechanical engineering.

Well, here is my stats.
29 ACT (30 superscore) -retaking because I am bad at reading section. It drags me down a lot.
4.16 W g.p.a
3.9 UW g.p.a
750 math II
680 bio sat II. Might retake....
I have taken a rigourous course load with 9 AP's by the time I gradutate. So far, scores of 4,4, 4, 3, 5.
-AP scholar with distinction.

Essays: I'm almost done, I think they'll be great!

Awards/EC:

Eagle Scout
Internship at hospital (100 hrs.)
High schools sports.
Engineering club
Soccer Referee.
I have a lot of leadership positions.
Various classes at colleges like Biotechnology and HTML.
I have other stuff, just don't want too.

So! Sorry for so much info, and thanks for giving this a look.
Please chance me :)

Thanks for the reply! Anyone else?

Buuuummmmpppp

You should get into all of those schools except for UCSD and Cal SLO. Mechanical Engineering is the most impacted major at SLO, with the admitted applicants having an ACT between 31 and 34. Biomedical is a lot less impacted though.

Thanks a ton for your responce! I’m actually applying biomedical for slo and mech for some other ones. Also, if I’m applying ED, does that help me? Thanks!

high = best chance

UCSD - medium
Cal Poly SLO (ED)- ME is impacted alot. medium
CSU LB - high
UC Davis -high
UC irvine - high
UCSB -medium
Harvey Mudd - low
Colorado School of Mines - medium
U washington - high
Colorado State. - high

@calpolyslodream:

I know a few people who got into cal poly SLO ME with a 25, and 26 act respectivly. With a good gpa you can counter lower test scores.

There’s always a chance :)

Thanks! I appreciate it! Well, I am not applying to slo for ME. I am applying as ME for colleges that don’t offer biomedical, like Mines and others. Harvey mudd is like a reach for anyone ahaha I kind of gave up; especially because it is 60,000a year…

You have a pretty good GPA and SAT for the CA schools. Aren’t too familiar with the OOS schools to chance you on.

CSULB - safety
Cal Poly SLO - low match (since you’re not applying for ME)
UCI - low match
UCSB - low match/match
UCD - match
UCSD - match/high match

bump anyone 10char

Hello! I am also applying to cal poly slo for early decision but for industrial engineering, I wish you luck!
I think you have a good chance of getting into the biomedical with your gpa and math II. Your AP scores are also impressive
CSULB-safety (it’s not hard to get into)
UCI/UCSB-low match
UCD/UCSD-match/high match
If you can, please chance me also? Thank you very much!
