Chances at California Schools

I’m live in California.

UC GPA = 3.75
SAT’s = Haven’t taken them yet but lets just say I score somewhere around 2000.

Schedule: Most competitive schedule offered and will be in the top 10 percent of class…hopefully top 4 percent

Honors and AP Courses: HL Pre-Calc, HL Spanish 3, HL Chemistry, AP Psychology, AP Calculus, AP English(11), AP US History, AP Gov/Econ, AP Statistics, AP Physics, and AP English(12)

Sports: Tennis and Cross Country
Community Service: Relay For Life, Environmental Club, Key Club (Vice President)
Awards: CSF, Circle B Athletic Award, Block B Acadmemic Award, Certificate of Scholastic Achievement
Others: Sign Language Club and Volleyball Club (Treasurer)

Chances For: UCLA, UCSD, UCI, UCSB, UCD, UCSC, Cal Poly SLO, and San Diego State

UCLA and UCB: Reach

UCSD: If follow the point system, it'll be a match. If you don't, it'll be a slight reach.

UCD and UCI: Match

UCSB: I DON'T UNDERSTAND THEM -__-.

UCSC, Cal Poly, SDSU: Safeties

Just for the record, UCSB is in the same tier as UCD and UCI.

everything up to SD, you should be able to get into. LA and Berk will be harder though. but it depends on your major..

So do you guys think my gpa is strong enough with my schedule?

a 3.75 gpa is well below ucsd's average, and his sat should be around ucsd's average if the poster scores where he thinks he will. this would make ucsd a reach or slight reach. he should be a match or better for everything below it.

Berkeley/UCLA: Reach
UCSD: Slight Reach/Reach
UCI/UCSB/UCD: Match
Cal Poly SLO: Match
UCSC: Safe Match
SDSU: Safety

If you want to go to UCSD, follow this. Seriously...

http://admissions.ucsd.edu/dev3/info/comreview.html

GPAx1000
0.8(sat1+sat2+sat2)

I believe they use increments of 100, but that is not solid. For example, if you have like 300+ hrs at 3 different places for community service, you get 300 pts there. If you are qualified as low income or first gen, you get the 300 pts straight up. The past few years have cut off around the mid 7400s so just get 7500 and you're good to go.

Bump It Up!!!

UCLA - Reach
UCSD - Slight Reach
UCI, UCD, UCSB - Match
Cal Poly - Safe Match
UCSC, SDSU - Safety

Well, if you make it into the top 4% then you should be ELC, which will improve your chances at the UCs.
